During the Second World War, André Delorme was wounded on the battlefield, so he left the frontline and returned to Rully in Burgundy. Upon his return, he established the Maison du Vin de Bourgogne, which remains in the heart of the village to this day. His winemaking was very successful, rapidly gaining recognition, and his pioneering spirit led him to develop Burgundian sparkling wines. Over the years, the estate has grown, as has its reputation for producing fine Grands Crémants de Bourgogne. In 2005, Eric Piffaut took over the reins, coming from a local Rully family who have been in the wine business for over a century. They produce refined Crémants from emblematic Burgundian grape varieties, which reflect the personality of the Burgundian style and offer all the characteristics of stylish fizz.
